B-day presents for my bestie!!!

So I have been seriously slacking on taking pics of the stuff I have made.  (Bad me)
Here is the checkbook cover, sunglasses case & gathered clutch I made for my friends B-day last week.  She has a thing for 80's music so when I saw this fabric it made me think of her.

The checkbook cover pattern is one I ordered from etsy:

sunglasses case came from here:

Something for me this time!!!

Here are 2 more headbands (tutorial here) I used my serger on the yellow one & its ok but I like the topstitching on the black one best, I stitched the flower different from the tutorial & the same way on both flowers, I tried the contrasting thread on the white flower & i'm not sure that I like it - I think I am gonna rip it out & redo it with a matching color

I made myself a new checkbook cover, I am not sure where the plans I had came from, I had them printed out & stuck in my someday pile so I don't have any website info - I added the ruffle following the same instructions from the sunglasses case tutorial below

So, this started out as a sunglasses case (tutorial here) but my ginormous sunglasses we a little bit to big & stuck out the top, so I will make it a little bit taller next time - but as it turned out my camera fits in it perfectly (you may be thinking, how did she take the picture if her camera is inside the case - well, I grabbed my hubbys camera this morning & snapped a few quick pics)

bracelets, bracelets & more bracelets!!!

I think I have become obsessed with this bracelet tutorial from V & Co. (found here)
I have made 5 so far & I have a grey shirt in my stash that is gonna become #6

also I have been working on more headbands - I found some baseball fabric & I am coordinating the flower colors with my sons & a friends t-ball/baseball teams.  Avery's (my son) t-ball does not start up until June but baseball has already started and my friends sons team is navy blue & grey - so I am making the flower navy blue & the leaves grey - the baseball fabric is kinda bright so it is actually sitting in a bowl of tea as I type to tone down the bright yellow balls just a little - the fabric was a mix of yellow & white balls. & so to come full circle the blue & grey came from my t-shirt stash & I have time to make more bracelets while I wait. :)

My 1st post - (what an original title)

Today I finally finished my niece's easter present, I think it turned out really cute.  The flower is removable so she can wear it in her hair or on a jacket or whatever.  I have fabric left over so I am definately gonna have to make a flower for myself.  I used the buttercup pattern (you can find it here) instead of adding the buttons to the front I opted for the flower because they seem to be everywhere lately.  I have several projects that I have planned to complete so I will hopefully be posting them soon.
